Why do you hate us (Muslims) ???
Why do you hate us (Muslims) ???
Do we have equality in our modern society?
No We don’t have, I don’t see it! Show me where is it?
Why do you hate us?
Is this because We are Muslims?
Is this because we treat Jesus as one of the mightiest Prophets of Allah?
Is this because We protected Jews and Welcomed them on our lands after Spanish inquisition and gave them equal rights and good positions in government?
Is this because we believe interest (ribba in arabic) is prohibited?
Is this because many non-Muslims are embracing Islam after realizing the reality of Islam?
Is this because Islam is growing at the fastest rate in comparison to other religions?
Is this because Islam teaches equality?
Is this because Islam gave this world the best mathematicians, Theologians, philosophers of all times? ( Imam Al Ghazali, Ibn e Sina, Musa Al Khwarizmi)
What did we do to areas that we ruled?
We ruled Middle East but didn’t make non-Muslims in the region cease to exist.
We ruled Indian Peninsula but didn’t make Hindus cease to exist.
We ruled European countries and were superpower of those times, but we didn’t make European Christians cease to exist.
We combated in self defense and retaliation but not in aggression. (Yarmouk, Qadissiyah)
We gave the best architecture and development to the Middle East ( Abbasid Golden age of Islam).
We ruled India and made it the golden sparrow.
Our Contribution in saving lives:
1. Spanish Inquisition: In the year 1492 with the fall of kingdom of Granada (Present day Spain) where Muslims, Christians and Jews had equal rights, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella ordered for genocide of Jews and Muslims. Muslims and Jews were killed, women were raped and the remaining ones were either expelled or forcibly converted to Christianity. In those tough times, Sultan Beyzid II protected Muslims and Jews and welcomed them on the Ottoman lands and gave them equal rights and positions in government. Story Link
2. A Nigerian Imam Abubakar Abdullahi Saved 262 farmers who were mainly Christians from 300 armored gunmen (Muslim Fulani militants ) by hiding the women and children in his home and men in Mosque. Story Link
3. Non Muslim Kenyans were saved by Muslims in a passenger bus from Al-shabaab terrorist group militants in Mandera city of Kenya Story Link
There were many more occasions where Muslims saved Jews and Christians
Our contribution to Science, Mathematics, Philosophy : (Source : Encyclopaedia Britannica)
A) Ibn-e-Sina : His full name was Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sīnā born in 980 AD near Bukhara and died in 1037 AD near Hamdan. He was the most influential Philosopher and scientist of medieval Islamic period and is mostly known for his contribution in the field of medicines. He wrote a book Kitāb al-shifā which is also known as the philosophical and scientific encyclopaedia. He was an intelligent minded personality who memorized the holy Quran at the age of 10. he started writing at the age of 21 and his writings had influenced the fields of mathematics, geometry, astronomy, physics, metaphysics, philology and Poetry. Even his teacher said that he has left him behind in knowledge.
B) Muhammad Ibn e Musa Al Khawarizmi : He is known as Al Khwarizmi . He was born in 780 AD and died in 850 AD. He is the one who introduced algebra and algorithms to the world. Without algebra the mathematics wouldn’t have advanced this much and without algorithms we won’t have had computers. He also introduced Hindu-Arabic numerals to Europe. He was an astronomer as well and wrote a very famous book Kitāb ṣūrat al-arḍ which means Geography which presented the coordinates of the localities and also helped in measurement of length of Mediterranean Sea with approximately more accuracy.
C) Ismail al Jazari : He was born in Diyarbakir province of Anatolia (Modern day turkey) in 1136. He is known as the father of medieval robots as he was too much into mechanical engineering and invented hydraulic pumps and also created a big clock which used to run on hydraulic power. Eight centuries later, British historian Donal Hill who was also a chartered engineer, while working on the book project said that “Jazari’s work in the history of engineering provides a wealth of instructions for design, manufacture and assembly of machines”.
D) Jabir ABin Hayyan : He is from early age of Abbasid Empire and discovered hydrochloric acid (from salt) and nitric acid (from saltpeter). By combining the two, he invented aqua regia, one of the few substances that can dissolve gold. Jabir is also credited with the invention and development of several chemical instruments that are still used today, such as the alembic, which made distillation easy, safe, and efficient.
Ibrahim al-Fazari , Muhammad al-Fazari , Al-Khwarizmi , Sanad ibn Ali, Al-Marwazi and there are many more. We have a never ending list of contributions in the fields of science, mathematics and geometry. In fact, Daniel David Levering the Author of the famous book Gods Crucible says in his book that ''without the Islamic golden age there would be no renaissance in Europe.''
Also, Jonathan Lyons in his book The House of Wisdom mentioned about ''How Arabic Science Saved Ancient Knowledge and Gave Us the Renaissance'' (Paperback – March 27, 2012).
Non-Muslims praising Prophet Muhammad and Islam:
''Muhammad has always been standing higher than christianity, He does not consider God as a human being and never makes himself equal to God. Muslims worship nothing except God and Muhammad is his Messenger. There is not any mystery and secret in it.'' Leo Tolstoy
'' If any religion had the chance of ruling over England and Europe within next hundred years, it could be Islam '' G B Shaw
"I wanted to know the best of the life of one who holds today an undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind. I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle.” Mahatma Gandhi
"It has been a great pleasure for me to clarify statements in the Qur'an about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, because most of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad must have been a messenger of God" Dr. Keith L. Moore Professor Emeritus
"If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astonishing results are the three criteria of a human genius, who could dare compare any great man in history with Muhammad? The most famous men created arms, laws, and empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material powers which often crumbled away before their eyes. This man moved not only armies, legislations, empires, peoples, dynasties, but millions of men in one-third of the then inhabited world; and more than that, he moved the altars, the gods, the religions, the ideas, the beliefs and the souls. On the basis of a Book, every letter which has become law, he created a spiritual nationality which blended together peoples of every tongue and race. He has left the indelible characteristic of this Muslim nationality the hatred of false gods and the passion for the One and Immaterial God." Alphonse de LaMartaine in 'Historie de la Turquie,' Paris, 1854.
"He was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without Pope's pretensions, Caesar without the legions of Caesar: without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue; if ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by the right divine, it was Mohammad, for he had all the power without its instruments and without its supports." Rev. Bosworth Smith, Mohammad, and Mohammedanism, London 1874, p. 92:
These are not the words of Muslims out of bias, but of those influential non-Muslim personalities of the time. Even, Michael H. Hart in his classification of top 100 influential personalities keeps Prophet Muhammad at the top of the list of 100. This shows the glory and righteousness of Islam and its Prophet PBUH.
And now finally all Muslims have got a question for the west. Why do you hate us??
